We’re really pleased to announce that Analogue Tales: Sounds From Arden, the fine new record from James Summerfield featuring the words of Darren Cannan is out today on Commercially Inviable Records.
The Appalachian-meets-West-Midlands type record is a rich and vivid exploration of the city of Birmingham and surrounding areas, set to a sweet take on Americana. Recorded at the digital-free Highbury Studio, the album features guest appearances from The Beat frontman Ranking Roger, broadcaster Robin Valk, Jimmy Summers’ Nan Marjorie Summerfield, authors Mike Gayle and Catherine O’Flynn, and songwriter and actor Paul Murphy.
Analogue Tales: Sounds From Arden is out on super-limited vinyl, CD (+ booklet of poetry) and download from the Commercially Inviable shop, and from online retailers such as iTunes, Amazon and others. You can also stream the album on services such as Spotify and Deezer.
